This weekend we visited the lands of Priorat in Catalonia, one of the most precious wine areas of the peninsula due especially to the difficulty and richness of the land. In fact, the region of El Priorat is the only qualified appellation of origin next to La Rioja in the country.

There is a cooperative in this wine region where Kosher wine is produced for the Jewish community of Barcelona. The vineyard owners in Capçanes They knew how to adapt to the new times and found a particular demand in this sector.

Today, part of the cooperative's wine goes to this community under the supervision of a rabbi in the whole process of natural winemaking.

We visited the Capçanes cooperative, a few kilometers from Falset, where Juergen Wagner welcomed us and introduced us to the world of kosher wine following Jewish traditions for 3,000 years according to the ancient writings.

I had a total ignorance about the process and Juergen's master class clarified my doubts.
