A 2,000 year old tunnel It has been found in the city of Jerusalem. The tunnel was created by the Jewish people to escape the plundering of the Romans. Through it, the inhabitants of Jerusalem could escape the city of Roman harassment from its south side.
The tunnel was recently found under the rubble of a monument that staged the dramatic scenes of the destruction of the Second Temple in A.D. 70.
Sometimes the width of the tunnel is reduced to one meter and there are some wells to drain the water. Ceramic pieces, glasses and coins of the time have also been found inside.
We are pleased to find news that affirms that we still have many stories to rediscover our past.
